Alluka one of our baby dolphins has become very independant from her mother in the last couple of months. We have seen Alluka around the water ways and have often wondered why such a small dolphin is off by herself but her mother is never far behind. (Bendy) Wendy as all good mums tries to teach Alluka about fishing and the skills she will need in the future however Alluka is more interested in playing games and showing off to passengers onboard our boats.
Another dolphin was found in the canals after just catching an octopus, dolphins however cannot chew their food they must find a way to rip pieces off to make it smaller, of all the times we have seen dolphins with octopus we have never seen them eat one just play and throw them around until they get bored.
"Super Cat" had a great time on the 12noon cruise on Saturday with a very playful dolphin jumping next to the boat. All on board had a great time watching as the dolphin leaped into the air and splashed passengers as it hit the water.
